Top: Madwell | Skirt: Topshop | Jacket: Free People | Sandals: Prabal Gurung for Target

Hair/Photos: Elhaam!

These were taken a day before the "official" beginning of spring, but by this time the weather had already been very spring-like. It even got a bit too warm for my denim jacket. The chevron pattern and motorcycle jacket silhouette drew me to this denim beaut a couple of years ago, and the rest of the items in this outfit have become staples in my wardrobe that I tend to gravitate towards when I'm not entirely sure what to wear. As you can probably tell from my past few posts I'm still loving that monochrome palette, but since the weather is getting warmer I'm sure I'll be more inclined to bring out more floral/colorful pieces. I've been getting some serious spring inspiration from Pinterest/Instagram lately, and I may or may not have placed a cheeky Urban Outfitters order recently on a peach shift dress that looks like a minimalist dream...swoon. Sigh, I am weak. Can I blame it on pre-finals stress? :p

By the way, I hope that you enjoyed the jumping photos as much as I did! Halfway into this OOTD shoot I started taking pictures of my roommate, Elhaam, who brought up the idea of doing jumping pictures. It was so much fun that I wanted to take some too, and I was pretty pleased with the results! It literally gave me a chance to put a "spring" in my step... *ba dum tiss*. Hopefully they've added an element of fun and mixed things up a bit (oh the constant struggle of trying to figure out how to pose...haha). They've also given me some possible ideas for future blog posts, so stay tuned to see if any of those come to fruition!

Here are a couple outtakes from the day:

Here I imagine myself saying something along the lines of "hey you kids, get off my grass!" ...but to a tree/the sky instead...

And here, I just look particularly pleased to be "levitating" off of the ground....HAHA.

Dress: Brandy Melville | Plaid Shirt: Madewell | Sandals: American Eagle Outfitters

PC: Gina!

Taking advantage of spring break and an emptier side of campus (meaning less people randomly seeing you take an OOTD and less cringing on my part), Gina and I went on a spontaneous adventure that turned out to be a lot of fun! Honestly it ended up being a bit too warm to wear this plaid shirt, but I was really feeling an easy button-down/dress combo that day (haha!). I've had this dress for a while now, and it's so comfortable and easy to pair with other items in my wardrobe. The sandals are an oldie but a goodie as well, and are really easy to just throw on.

I have a couple more OOTDs to post, but it may take me some time to post them since I have finals in about two weeks. Much tears, such fear. I've been posting more frequently on Instagram though, so hopefully I can keep that up in the meantime!

Anywho, here are a couple outtakes from that day (had a number of options to pick from this time...hahah):

Cardigan: SheInside | Top: Madewell | Jeans: Madewell | Boots: Office | Bracelet: Willamy Collection | Watch: Daniel Wellington

PC: Huge thanks to Gina!

Happy Sunday everyone! Today I'm bringing you an OOTD that was taken back in January when Gina and I made a trip to SF. We had to stop by Sutro Baths, one of the loveliest (and possibly my favorite) places in the city. We sat amongst the ruins and ate some sandwiches from Ike's, and then went on to take these pictures for da blog.

The core of my outfit from that day was very Madewell heavy (safe to say that Madewell is my favorite, ahaha), and also featured a YouTube-inspired purchase in the form of my cardigan (a la Chelsea from Chelseawears!). I got the cardigan last year while I was abroad, and it's got a nice weighty feel to it along with some cool hardware/leather detailing. The dainty silver necklace was a Christmas gift from my Uncle Boy/Auntie Rose, and it is exactly the type of jewelry aesthetic that I love. The beautiful beaded leather wrap bracelet was a Christmas gift from my brother, Mike, and sister-in-law, Erika, (hi guys if you're reading this!) and I absolutely love it. I don't have a bracelet like this in my collection, and it adds such a nice touch to a simple/monochrome outfit like this one. And finally, what a surprise that I wore my trusty Office boots that have been with me nearly everywhere (they would hands down get the MVP award of shoes).

Now I'm definitely wishing that I was back at Sutro and overlooking the ocean, I don't think I'll ever get tired of that place.

Hope you all enjoyed this OOTD, it's definitely one of my favorites ever! I mean, can an OOTD location be any more beautiful?! (Random, but we actually saw a group of people taking some outfit pictures there too. And we saw a guy who was practicing some bike tricks along that stone walkway in the third and fourth pictures above. Slightly nerve-wracking even though I wasn't the one on the bike!)

Oh wait, almost forgot to include an outtake! (once a derp, always a derp):

Haha wishing everyone a great week. 'Til next time!

Firstly, I'd like to say thanks for making it to the end of this very long/picture heavy post (I narrowed down my picture choice to these 20 out of almost 200 pictures!). Secondly, contrary to what the title of this post may have lead you to believe, I am aware of the correct spelling of "wanderlust" (spelling things incorrectly is actually a slight pet peeve of mine :p). I was trying to get creative and incorporate my blog name with the title of this post (haha, clever?), which will hopefully be the beginning of a series on here. In addition to loving fashion, I also love travelling and experiencing new places, and thought that posts like this would be a fun way to document some adventures (and be a way for me to practice/learn how to properly use my camera...I've still got long way to go).

So onto the subject of this post: Big Sur.

As a post-midterms celebration, my roommate Gina and I decided to venture out to Big Sur. I've been dying to see Big Sur after seeing some pictures of it, and I was looking forward to an outdoor escape after a number of days sitting in a sequestered room studying.

On our way to Big Sur we stopped by Carmel for a bit, and man was it beautiful over there. The sand was so fine and soft, and the ocean was beautiful. After walking around the beach we headed back to the car. As we resumed our journey to Big Sur, we made a few stops here and there to take in more scenic views.

The first few pictures in this photo diary were taken of/at Bixby Creek Bridge. The next few pictures were taken en route to McWay falls, which reminded me of the mermaid lagoon in Peter Pan (haha!). McWay falls was probably my favorite sight of the trip, as the water looked so clear and the area by the falls looked so pristine since there is no beach access to the falls.

After McWay falls, we went on a hike and saw a stream with crystal clear water, some cute deer that were not phased by people watching them, and another waterfall. It felt like we were in a whole new place since the trail was more inland than the coastal scenery we had seen throughout the day.

The weather had been a bit breezy because of the overcast weather, but we didn't let that stop us from heading to Pfeiffer Beach for sunset. I managed to stub my big toe on a large rock while we were looking for a place to sit on the sand which wasn't very fun (hoping that I won't be surprised with a dead toenail when I take my nail polish off...tmi?). Despite the toe pain (QQ, as Jeremy would say), it was really relaxing being at the beach at sundown. The sun looked especially gorgeous as it was setting and tucked behind some clouds, and the last photo in this post is one of my favorites I took that day (for a hot second I contemplated going up to the parents of the little girl who randomly got into the photo to show it to them...but I thought that might've been a bit strange).

Shortly after the sunset we made our way home (which took much longer than it did to get there because of traffic), exhausted by our adventures of the day.

That's all for now! Once again I'm using this post as a study break (that shouldn't really be happening...ahaha *cries*), so I better get going.

'Til next time!
