Dress a Day in July: The Twenty-fifth

Dress: Free People | Oxfords: Madewell

Behold, my so-called "fairy dress" as dubbed by my brother, Mike. Despite the possibility that this may indeed resemble something that a fairy would wear, I love every bit of it. I'm a big fan of Free People and their dresses, and I first saw this dress worn by Missglamorazzi, or Ingrid, on Youtube. I instantly fell in love with this dress (don't judge…haha) since it looked floaty, summery, and very boho. I really like the crocheted neckline, and that there is a hint of floral pattern that peeks out throughout the silhouette of the dress. To offset the girly vibe a bit, I paired this dress with my favorite Madewell oxfords that I love oh so much.

Here are outtakes of some close-ups with a rose bud. Natalie suggested that I make a kissy face with it and welp…this happened:
Feeling uncomfortable/awkward

Laughing at myself for being a derp

On the plus side, in these outtakes you see a closer look at the crochet detail along the neckline of the dress, as well as the slivers of floral fabric seen throughout the dress.

Until next time!

Dress a Day in July: The Twenty-fourth

Dress: Brandy Melville | Crop top: Topshop | Sandals: American Eagle Outfitters | Bracelet: gift

Here's another case of slight outfit repeating…because this is the same Brandy Melville dress worn on day six but in a different pattern. This time I styled it a bit differently though with the added crop top underneath the dress, a look that I quite like. Keeping things simple as always, I wore my favorite sandals of the moment (as I have in a few other DADJ posts) and a simple silver and pearl bracelet that my dad gave to me after his last trip to Hawaii.

Thanks to my fantastic bff, Kristi, for helping me with pictures for today! :) We only took about nine pictures, so no noteworthy outtakes for today (no doubt there will be plenty more in future posts... haha!)

Until next time!

Dress a Day in July: The Twenty-third

Dress: LC Lauren Conrad | Flats: Tory Burch | Pink silk cord bracelet: Popbasic

So if you've been keeping up with DADJ, you may think this dress looks familiar. That's because I wore a green version of this dress on the very first day of DADJ (yes, like Lizzie McGuire I am an outfit repeater! Haha!). I loved this dress so much that I bought it in two colors…and I've done the same before with another LC Lauren Conrad dress too (the one featured on day three ). To tie in with the pink in the dress, I wore one of my favorite bracelets from Popbasic. And seeing as I hadn't worn these Tory Burch flats in a while, I thought they'd be the perfect girly complement to finish off the outfit.

Here are a few outtakes from this shoot! At one point a person was walking by and I felt extremely awkward…so one or both of these is probably from when that happened hahaha:

Dress a Day in July: The Twenty-second

Dress: Cotton On | Cardigan: Romwe | Sandals: American Eagle Outfitters| Necklace: Free People

The thing that drew my attention to this dress while shopping was definitely its color. I absolutely love the brightness of this royal blue/cobalt, and it definitely stands out in my wardrobe as I don't have anything else in a color like this. I paired it with this delicate cream lace cardigan that I ordered recently from Romwe. This is already a fast favorite of mine, and I can definitely see this as becoming a staple in my wardrobe in this warm weather. I kept details simple with my rediscovered woven sandals and favorite Free People necklace.

Here's an outtake from when Natalie used the continuous shooting mode on my camera (again) while I proceeded to spin in a circle (it wasn't that cute…haha), and another outtake from when I started laughing:

Dress a Day in July: The Twenty-first

Dress: Olsenboye | Sandals: Sam & Libby for Target

On this day, I decided to bring out this floaty Olsenboye dress that I bought about three years ago now. I hadn't worn it in a long time, so I figured wearing it for DADJ would be a good idea. I belted the dress and added my Target sandals; I felt very boho in this outfit.

Here's a silly outtake:

Surprisingly I kept this post pretty short...expect two posts a day from now until the end of DADJ! (hopefully)

Until next time!

Dress a Day in July: The Twentieth

Dress: Free People | Sandals: Topshop

Finally in the twenties, woohoo! On this day the weather was strangely muggy and cloudy, but still slightly warm. So I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to wear one of my favorite Free People long-sleeved dresses. I love the floral detailing, and the fact that the pattern is throughout the dress, including down the sleeves. I paired them with some of my favorite Topshop sandals, and kept it simple with very minimal jewelry.

Here's a silly outtake of me laughing while Natalie snapped pictures for me:

Dress a Day in July: The Nineteenth

Dress: Free People | Button-down: Popbasic | Boots: Office | Bag: Beara Beara

On this day I tagged along with Natalie and her family on a trip to San Francisco to check out the ramen festival in Japantown. It was so crowded in Japantown that day, it was crazy. But before we went to Japantown, Natalie, Lizzi (Natalie's friend from school who we met up with), and I had some fun checking out a couple thrift stores (where I bought a dress that'll be featured in DADJ soon!). After eating some delicious ramen in Japantown, we ran into our friend, Megan, and her boyfriend, Anthony. Lizzi, Megan, and Anthony got some cute-looking crepes, while Natalie and I just held out for my favorite macaron place. All of us walked to the macaron shop, where Natalie helped me take pictures for this post (thanks again girl!).

I was anticipating some cooler weather in SF, but it actually ended up being pretty warm. I wore one of my favorite lace dresses from Free People, and layered my favorite button-down shirt from Popbasic on top. I'm a big fan of layering collared shirts with dresses and skirts, and I took the slightly cooler weather as an opportunity to bring out this button-down. I was able to wear my chelsea boots from Office for the first time in a while (almost wanted to write "forever" instead of "a while"…ehehe), and I also decided to take this trip into the city as a chance to use my Beara Beara leather satchel that I bought in London.

Here's an outtake in which Lizzi and I did some matching poses, haha :)

Until next time!
